Scammers can send you text messages to get your OTP, username, and password, in a process called SMS phishing (smishing). When they have this private info, they can use it to take money from your account.

Always be on the lookout for scam attempts. When you receive a text message like this, never immediately perform the action it urges you to do. Be safe and scam proof by confirming that it is authentic first by contacting the sender (your bank or other service provider) through an official channel.
