What is the Post Office Scam
Post office scammers are after your personal info, bank details, and money
1. Worry if they want you to hurry.
Your bank, credit card company and other providers want you to understand what’s going on. They will never rush you into taking action, but scammers want you to do things right away before you realize that you’re being scammed.
2. Think before you click the link.
Banks don’t put links in their official communications to you through email or SMS. Scammers will put links to websites that look a lot like the real ones, but these are actual fake websites made to steal your login details and personal information.
3. When in doubt, find out.
Whenever you aren’t sure if the communication is real or a scam attempt, don’t perform the action right away. Contact the company through one of the official channels (hotline or email) from the website. Customer support will always be happy to assist you and help keep your account safe.
